I grew up like thousands of other Minnesotans wanting to be like Joe…Nike gear and all.

One could dream, right? Although my athletic achievements peaked on a D-III baseball field, my passion for baseball stayed with me and I was lucky enough to land a dream job with my hometown team seven years after being that ‘fan’ at spring training.

Shot my first few Twins games in 2010, including my first-ever MLB game in April of that season where I shot arguably one of my favorite defensive shots of Joe Mauer in his career.

Opening Day 2011 was not only the start of the season, but also my first season with the Twins as a part-time photographer.

2012 featured some throwback unis, a Johnny Bench photo request with the MVPs and an appearance from Kevin Love.

2013 featured theWorld Baseball Classic, some hometown throwbacks, an All-Star Game in New York City and the last start behind the dish.

2014 featured another Silver Slugger, some powder blues and the final year in the white pinstripes.

2015 featured the beard, Minnesota legends, musical legend Paul Simon and a little road trip.

2016 featured a cruise down Nicollet, community work and a clubhouse tour with Thomas Rhett.

2017 featured a walk-off dinger, a selfie and some bottle poppin’.

2018. One last ride.

Fast forward 14 years, the young fan is all grown up and was lucky enough to be along for some of the ride.

Great player, great person. Thank you, №7.

Well Played, Mauer.
